The Thornton-Moss, Bradford, Ellsworth adventures

We were so lucky to have Mark and Laura's family come and stay with us last week to this Tuesday. If you want the low down on that you will need to visit Laura's blog. So Jennifer and Sam came down on Saturday to visit because Mark and Laura were here. Little Elizabeth had a little cough we didn't really think much of it on Saturday but on Sunday afternoon she sounded worse and had a fever. We decided that it wouldn't hurt to take her to the doctors so we did. They said she had both ears infected and she sounded a little congested. I asked them to test her for RSV so they did, the doctor was surprised she tested positive. So we went home and it was upsetting to all of us since we didn't know how or if would get worse.
The next Morning about 4 am Jennifer is having a ton of pain in her stomach area. I thought because they said she had an ulcer when she was pregnant that is what it was. She suffered until about 10 am then she decided to go to the E.R. and see if they could help with the pain, they did an ultra sound and found that she had Gall Stones and an infected gall bladder. They admitted her (that was upsetting to Jen since she still breast feeds Elizabeth) but also being away from her for a couple days were tough. Thank goodness that they were here and I could baby her and grandpa could baby little Elizabeth. Jen had the surgery and all went well they removed her gall bladder and said it was full of stones. Well when Jen was having her surgery done we took the baby in to get checked, she was worse, they sent us home doing breathing treatments every 4 hours. It is amazing that she is such a trooper. she doesn't fuss at all when she takes her treatments and she is only fussy when she is hungry( which is often).

About Us

I just thought that I would tell a little about our family. We are a lucky bunch with all of the love that we have for each other. There are 10 of us Curt and I and then the 8 kids. Most of them have grown up and moved on getting married, going to college or joining the military or both or all three.
